This is a pair of green trousers from the Royal Dragoon Guards (RDG), a British Army cavalry regiment. The trousers are designated as No.2 Dress Trousers.
The RDG was formed in 1992 by the amalgamation of the 4th/7th Royal Dragoon Guards and the 5th Royal Inniskilling Dragoon Guards.
Currently, the regiment is based in North Yorkshire, in the center of England, and is a seasoned unit that has served in Iraq and Afghanistan.
The trousers feature a single pleat in the front, providing a comfortable fit around the waist, and a center crease that extends from the waist pleats, creating a sophisticated look.
They have four pockets: two side pockets and two back pockets. The size can be adjusted with the adjusters on both sides.
The flexible design allows for beltless wear by tightening the adjusters.
The beautiful fabric is known as “Full Green” and its color is said to have originated from the adoption of green trousers as a dress regulation in 1751.
The fabric is a robust yet soft and supple flannel wool from HAINSWORTH, a renowned British textile manufacturer established in 1783.
The trousers are entirely made in England by turner virr & co ltd, a company established in 1953 in West Yorkshire, in the center of England.
